古人曾用“弹筝奋逸响，新声妙入神”、“做客满筵都不语，一行哀雁十三声”的生动诗句来描绘筝艺术所能达到的令人心驰神往的境界！

筝在我国有着古老的历史渊源，所以人们常常称之为“古筝“。据史料记载，早在春秋战国时期，（约公元前四世纪〕就广泛流传，距今已有两千多年的历史，其中以秦国（现在的陕西省）最为盛行。所以筝又有“秦筝”之称。筝叩缶、弹筝、博髀而歌呼呜呜快耳目者，真秦之声也。
Zheng has an ancient historical origin in China, so people often call it "guzheng".
